Quinto Herrera

Mr. Quinto Herrera, 85, of Rocky Ford died Thursday, August 20th, 2009 while in the company of family members at his residence. Quinto was born in Cuatros, NM on May 20, 1924, the son of the late Enrique and Domitilia Herrera. He was the widower of Fedelina (Torres) Herrera. They were married in 1940. She preceded him in death in 1991. He worked as a Farm Hand and also worked as a custodian for Rocky Ford High School. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church Rocky Ford, CO 81067. He is survived by; Son Jose husband of Enedina Herrera of Rocky Ford, CO; Son Alfred Herrera of Denver, CO; Son Joseph husband of Betty Herrera of Denver, CO; Son Albert Gonzales of Colorado Springs, CO; Daughter Dorothy wife of Richard Castro of Commerce City, CO; Daughter Trini Montoya of Denver, CO; Daughter Frances wife of Bruce Wilkerson of Aurora, CO; Daughter Rosemary wife of Ed Billinger of Rocky Ford, CO. He is also survived by 21 Grandchildren and 48 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son: Tony Herrera and a brother: Tiofilo Herrera A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Peters Catholic Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 26th, with Fr. Don Malin officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3-5 PM at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. A Vigil Service will be recited at 7 PM on Tuesday at St. Peters Catholic Church.
