Raymond "Buddha" Carlos Montoya, 57, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Friday, December 24th, at his residence. .

Raymond was born in Rocky Ford, CO on April 6, 1964, a son of the late Flora (Montoya) and Cornelio Montoya.

Raymond worked at the feed lots, he was a Broncos fan, he enjoyed doing carpentry, he liked the classic rock music, he loved to go fishing, he had 2 cats that he loved dearly. Raymond liked to have classic cars, he would buy one, fix it up then sell it and get himself another. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford

Raymond is survived by.his 3 sisters: Ofilia Gallegos, wife of Frank , of Liberal, KS, Corina Montoya, of Garden City, KS, and Martha Montoya, of Oklahoma City, OK. 3 nephews: Joey Gomez, Cesar Martinez and Eric Martinez, 2 nieces: Michelle Gomez and Anita Hernandez, along with his great-nieces and nephews: Jaylene Hernandez, Valente Heredie-Hernandez, Maya Williams, Justin Bojorquez and Emily Bojorquez. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, nephew David Gomez and great niece Bailey Hernandez.

A Rosary & Mass will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 at St. Peter's Catholic Church with inurnment to follow at Valley View Cemetery in Ordway.
