Mr. Reed Martin, 43, of Rocky Ford died on Friday, December 25th, 2009 while in the company of family members at his residence. Reed was born in Omaha, NE on February 25, 1966, the son of Kent S. and Nancy Kay (Fowler) Martin. He graduated from Rocky Ford High School in 1984 and later from OJC. He was the husband of Andria Renee (Pearson) Martin. They were married on August 31, 2002 in Taos, NM. He was previously married to Annette Caldwell and they had two children together they later divorced. He was the Owner/Operator at Martin Pipe & Steel Rocky Ford, CO., which he purchased in 1995. Reed enjoyed the Valley Cowboy Church and was a long time member of the Koshare Indians where he was Head Chief in the mid 80's. He was also an Eagle Scout. He is survived by: his wife: Andria of the home; Daughter Kendall Martin of the home; Son Brayden Martin of the home; Parents: Kent and Nancy Martin of Rocky Ford; Sister Kenda Chapman of Palmer, AK; Sister Kara wife of Randy Kurtz of LaJunta, CO; Niece Jordan Kurtz of Ft. Collins, CO; Nephew Wade Kurtz of LaJunta, CO; Nephew Cody Walkinshaw of Ulysses, KS; Nephew Morgan Chapman of Palmer, AK; Cousins: Susan (Bird) Haskell; Cindy (Bird) Lock wife of Ron; Charla (Bird) Salvador all of Holyoke, CO; Warren Gretz, from Idaho He was preceded in death by all of his grandparents. A Memorial Service will be at the Valley Community Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, December 30th, with Gail Allen officiating. There will be no viewing as cremation has been effected. Inurnment will be private at a later time. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Valley Hospice 118 W. 4th La Junta, CO 81050.
