Richard Hartley, 59, of Rocky Ford, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at his home.

Richard Hartley born Oct 19,1959 in Garden City, Ks. to Ernest L. and Patricia J ( Brungardt) Hartley. He graduated from Holcomb High School in Holcomb, KS. Richard never married.

He lived his life on his own terms. Worked in various construction jobs during his life. Richard was a promising and talented artist in his younger day. He enjoyed hunting and fishing sports, classic rock music, chess, and a good steak. Richard succumbed to health issues caused from chronic drug and alcohol abuse.

He was preceded in death by his father Ernest.

Richard is survived by his mother, Patricia; siblings, Colleen (Lawrence) Armijo, Dana Luft, Stephen Hartley, Gary Hartley, Mark Hartley, Sonja (Todd) Kindall, Patrick Hartley and Tricia Hartley along with multiple nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He will be cremated and private burial in the family plot at Sodtown Cemetery, Sodtown, Nebraska at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ford-Ustick Funeral Home.
