Mr. Richard Cort Hayes, 67, of La Junta died on Thursday, November 25th, 2010 at Parkview Medical Center, Pueblo, Pueblo County, CO. Richard was born in Charlevoix, MI on October 16, 1943, the son of the late Lawrence Richard and Mary Louise (Davis) Hayes. He graduated from East Jordan High School in Michigan. He then graduated from Mott Community College. He was the husband of Jo Ann Hayes. They were married on October 22, 1971 in Flint, MI. She survives. He served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a Cabinet Designer He was a member of First Church of God in La Junta, CO. He is survived by his wife Jo Ann of the home; Daughter Wendy wife of Roy Camp of Northridgeville, OH; Daughter Thelma wife of David Bignell of La Junta, CO; Son Lawrence Richard II husband of Chanda Hayes, of Owosso, MI. He is also survived by Grandchildren: Megan Camp, KaLissa Hayes, Cortlyn Bignell, Kayla Hayes, Kloe Hayes, Ian DeLong, Travis Camp, Nicholas Bignell & Richard Cort Hayes II There will be no local services. There will be no viewing as cremation has been effected. Inurnment will be private at a later time. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home.
