Mr. Richard Marion Mathis, 61, of Rocky Ford died on Tuesday, March 24th, 2009 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center, La Junta, CO. Richard was born in Lamar, CO on May 28, 1947, the son of Marion Arthur and Flo Lorraine (Clarkson) Mathis. He worked as a Welder He served in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by His parents, Daughter Marla Sanchez of Coyle, OK; Son Johnny Mathis of Oklahoma City, OK; Son Ricky Mathis of Oklahoma City, OK; Sister Susan Ransom of Fountain, CO; Brother David Mathis of Colorado Springs, CO; Brother James husband of Dorothy Mathis of Canon City, CO; Grandchildren Marlena & Patrict Numerous Nieces & Nephews Graveside Services will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Rocky Ford, CO, at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 31st, with Pastor Walter Gragert officiating. Visitation will be on Monday March 30, from 12-5 PM at the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery Rocky Ford, CO.
