Richard "Sonny" Carlton Clements, Jr.

Richard “Sonny” Clements, Jr. of Rocky Ford passed away on December 26, 2025 in La Junta at the age of 59. Sonny was born in Rocky Ford to Richard and Micky Clements. Sonny grew up in Manzanola and went to school there. He love sheering sheep with his dad, raising his sheep and chickens on the farm, Sonny volunteered at the Rocky Ford Fire Department detailing the fire trucks, he had the best time of his life doing this. He also volunteered at the Rocky Ford Library with Bill Hodges, his caretaker. He attended Valley Cowboy Church in La Junta. He had a business doing car detailing, he took care of the farm in Rocky Ford with his tractor. His pastor told the family that Sonny touched the hearts of everyone he met. Sonny was an avid Broncos fan.

Sonny is survived by his mother Micky Clements of Rocky Ford, 5 siblings: Lynda Becker of Ordway, Debby Scott, George Pavitt both of Rocky Ford, Janet (Wes) Chaney, of Ordway, Tammy Lull of Craig, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, brother Randy Clements, and nephew Sean Lull.
