Mrs. Rita Espinoza, 71, of Rocky Ford died on Thursday, December 10th, 2009 while in the company of family members at Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care, Colorado Springs, El Paso County, CO. Rita was born in Rocky Ford, CO on September 1, 1938, the daughter of the late Espiridion Diaz and Maria (Chavez) Diaz-Cortinez. She worked as a Head Cook at Sage Nutrition Rocky Ford, CO., She is survived by Her mother; Daughter Christina Espinoza of Rocky Ford, CO; Daughter Amanda Espinoza of Rocky Ford, CO; Daughter Yolanda wife of Steve Ohnick of Rocky Ford, CO; Son Ralph Espinoza of Phoenix, AZ; Son Richard husband of Georgia Espinoza of Glasgow, MT; Son Arthur Espinoza of Rocky Ford, CO; Son Fred Espinoza of Liberal, KS; Brother Espiridion Diaz of LaJunta, CO; Brother Simon husband of Martha Diaz of Los Angeles, CA; Brother Henry Diaz of Rocky Ford, CO; Brother Alfonso husband of Rose Diaz of Rocky Ford, CO; Brother Antonio husband of Gloria Diaz of Denver, CO; Sister Celia wife of Jesus Berumen of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Juanita wife of Noe Ramirez of Pueblo, CO; Sister Julia Diaz of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Felipa wife of Herman Gallegos of Perryton, TX. She is also survived by 3 granddaughters: Emma Espinoza of Rocky Ford; Celina & Ritamaria Espinoza of Glendive, MT and a grandson: Samuel Espinoza of Rocky Ford; ex-husband: Epifanio Espinoza. She was preceded in death by her father, a sister: Victoria Apodaca; a granddaughter: Regina Ohnick; a nephew: Michael Anderson Friends are invited to sign the register book and visit with family on Saturday, December 19, 2009 from 11 AM until 2 PM at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home.
