Robert "Bob" Bruch
November 15, 1944 - March 3, 2016
Robert Lee Bruch, known by all as Bob, died on March 3, 2016 at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, CO. He was surrounded by his children and loved ones as he left this world to be with the Lord. He was 71 years old and a long-time resident of Crowley County, Colorado. To know Bob was to love him, and he was and is dearly loved by many. He enjoyed the company of family and friends, and always had a funny story or joke to share. His trademark laugh is one of countless things that will be missed. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working with his hands. If Bob wasn't working in the garden or on a house project, you could likely find him out at the Ordway Reservoir trying to catch a few. He relished time outside on the patio on a warm summer's night, visiting with friends and family. He was a serious Denver Broncos fan and celebrated their Super Bowl 50 win. He loved good music, a hot cup of coffee, dancing, and playing cards. His children can attest to his love of Elvis Presley and to the fun family dance nights in front of the light-up disco-style stereo. He is survived by his cherished significant other, Suzanne Garner, who can testify to his love of karaoke and the jitterbug. Bob was a loving, devoted father and grandfather. He taught his kids and grandkids numerous life lessons. He taught them what it means to love and care for family. He taught them about working hard to make a good life. His legacy lives on in how his children and grandchildren love one another and their families. Bob raised four children with his wife of 38 years, Betty Bruch. He is survived by Betty and his four children, Scott Bruch (Heather), Tammy Cobb (David), Theresa Ritz (David), and Sheila Baker. He is survived by his grandchildren and step grandchildren: Taylor Bruch, Dylann Bruch, Connor Terrones,Cora Baker, Kodee Hutchins-Bruch, Grace Terrones, Jake Bruch, Malia Bruch, Alex Ritz, Klavdia Polischuk, Anthony Cobb, and Katie Cobb. He was proud to be a great grandpa and is survived by one great grandchild, Liam Bruch. Bob was born in Genoa, Colorado, to James and Frances Bruch. He enjoyed growing up in a large family of 13 siblings, and he treasured the company of his siblings long after childhood. He is survived by brothers: Glen Bruch (Jean), Wayne Bruch (Judy), C.R. "Dick" Bruch (Virginia), Tom Bruch, and Terry Bruch. He is survived by sisters: Dona Tiffany (David) and Verna Bruch. With his many siblings, he is survived by lots of nieces and nephews who have fond memories of Uncle Bob. Bob is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Dale Baker, and by his parents James and Frances Bruch. He is also preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Jim Bruch, Kenny Bruch, Jack Bruch, Betty Smith, and Ellen Becker. Bob graduated from Genoa High School and proudly served in the United States Army as a young man. He worked for the Colorado Department of Transportation, retiring as a supervisor after 30 years of service. He was active in his community, serving on the Sugar City Volunteer Fire Department for more than 10 years and also on the Sugar City Town Council. He supported the Crowley County Schools and was active in his children's events and activities as they were growing up. He was a loud and proud fan of the Crowley County Chargers. Bob will be missed terribly by all those who love him. He was a great man. It's hard to imagine life without him, but loved ones find joy in the wonderful memories and take comfort in knowing they will meet him again one day.
