Roberto Manuel Baca, Sr., 75, of La Junta, CO, passed away at 3:00 AM, Sunday, July 9th, at Sangre De Cristo Hospice House, Pueblo, Pueblo County. Roberto was born in Wagon Mound, NM on October 2, 1941, a son of the late Lorenza (Montoya) and Amadeo Baca. He was the husband of Jo Ann (Martinez) Baca, they were married married on April 4, 1980 in Denver, CO, Roberto was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish La Junta, CO. He served in the U.S. Navy. He retired as a Mail Handler at U. S. Postal Service after 34 years. Roberto was an avid Broncos and Rockies fan. He enjoyed watching the old western, military movies. He loved taking rides in the country and his 4 legged companions, Typsy & Hopper. He especially loved spending time with family and friends. Roberto is survived by his wife Jo Ann of the home; a son, Roberto Baca, Jr., of La Junta, CO; a brother, Carlos, husband of Veronica Baca, of Lakewood, CO. He is also survived by Numerous Nieces, Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Thomas, Lorenzo, Benito, Alfonso, Arturo Baca; sister: Pauline Baca A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 AM with a Memorial Mass to follow at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, July 18th at St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, CO with Fr. Paul Ekeh officiating. Inurnment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery Rocky Ford, CO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sangre De Cristo Pueblo, CO .
