Ruth Glenna Cook, 101, of Pueblo, CO, passed away Thursday, November 21st, at Life Care Center of Pueblo.
Ruth was born in Alton, Missouri on May 10, 1918, a daughter of the late Bertha M. (Chronister) and Samuel Augustus James.
She married Harley Cook on June 10, 1939 in Greeley, CO, he preceded her in death.
She came to Colorado in 1930 with her parents, brothers and sisters and graduated from Manzanola High School in 1939. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Rocky Ford Creamery for 25 years.
Ruth loved spending time with her family, was a Denver Bronco fan and loved to go bowling. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge in Rocky Ford and the Manzanola First Christian Church. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by; Son David A. (Kathryn) Cook, of Buena Vista, CO; Daughter Janet (Ric) Robinson, of Issaquah, WA; Sister Betty (A.J.) Winkelbauer, of Idaho; Son-in-Law John Hilliard;
She is also survived by 5 Grandchildren: Michael (Leigh) Hilliard of Round Rock, TX, Stephanie (Robert) Wilson of Strasburg. CO, Sherri (Craig) Sandefur of Wasilla, AK, Brian Cook of Lake Gutierrez, CA & Erik (Wendy) Cook of Orchard, CO; 10 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Carolyn Hilliard; parents; brothers, Clyde, Perry, George, Frank, Sam, and Sherl James; and sister, Mary Coffee.
