Sally Irene Ruiz, 73, of Rocky Ford passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Pioneer Health Care. Sally was born in Rocky Ford to Benny & Merlinda Martinez. She grew up in Rocky Ford and raised her family here. Sally loved her family, especially all of her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed playing games and doing puzzles. She liked to watch games shows. She especially liked The Price Is Right and Family Feud, anything with Steve Harvey. Sally also enjoyed watching western movies. She liked to go country cruising. Sally was a great cook, she loved family gatherings and being around everyone and seeing the family all together. Sally liked listening to music and dancing. She also enjoyed watching the Broncos.

Sally is survived by her 8 children: Linda (Dino), Cuco (Holli), Marcos, Luis (Bianca), Michael (Juaneta) all of Rocky Ford, Laura (Dano) of Garden City, KS, Fidel (Jessica) of Fergus Falls, MN & Victoria (Marcel) of La Junta, 24 grandchildren: Antia, Alicia, Jacob, Vanessa, Darren, Jessie, Alyssa, Dominic, Jenna, Julia, Donald, Erika, Carlos, Destiny, Sorya, Amiyah, soon to be Kamiyah, Adam, Julia, Jennessey, Deuce, Alexander, Yesenia & Angelo, 24 great-grandchildren: Kaitlin, Andre, Blaise, Harley, Sadie, Isaiah, Randy, Malak, Sylvia, Leveiana, Lucien, Elias, Angelina, Lexy, Julianna, Alana, Christopher, Izaac, Jaylee, Carlitos, Adriel, Zathaniel, Drace, & Adelin, 2 great-great-grandchildren: Malachi & Aria. 1 brother: Pete (Patricia) Martinez. Sally was preceded in death by her 8 siblings: Adam Martinez, Louie Martinez, Reyna Cordova, Mary Amarine Ruiz, Josie Cordova, Helen Montoya, Joe Martinez & Tony Martinez.
