Steven Ernie McGowen, 70, died June 14, 2018. As per Steve's wishes, there will not be a service. Steven was born January 13, 1948 in Denver to Ernest and Caroline (Sherous) Mcgowen. He attended high school in Denver and joined the Navy in 1965.

Steve is survived by his wife Patrice McGowen of 24 years, and her children Abigail (Matt Vantine) Vantine, Christian (Ashley Muse) Van Minnen and Alexander VanMinnen, grandchildren Grace Vantine and Desmond VanMinnen, all whom he loved dearly.

Steven was a salesman all of this life, most recently he was the proprietor of Two Dogs Howling, an antique store in Rocky Ford, CO. He loved to create beautiful gardens, ponds and repurpose vintage farming equipment. He thoroughly enjoyed watching Bob Ross and learned his techniques to create many paintings. He was a huge baseball fan and watched the Colorado Rockies faithfully. He loved his home, his gardens and his pets, especially his dog Buddy.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents and sister Cindy.
