Steve Miller passed into eternity on January 18, 2023 peacefully at his home. Steve was born on October 2, 1954 to Charles J. and Frances (Fif) Williams Miller in Grand Junction. The family moved to Rocky Ford in 1962 where Steve graduated from Rocky Ford High School with the class of 1973. He married Elaine Swartzendruber in 1977 and was able to celebrate 46 years of marriage. He had various jobs through his life including First Industrial Bank, Muth Farm Equipment, Kurtz Contractors, Rocky Ford Discount Tire and The Pipeyard. He could do anything he set his mind to, including building 2 mountain homes. In his life he enjoyed snow and water skiing, speed boating, hunting, stock car racing, swimming parties at the home and vacations with several nieces and nephews. He helped build Valley Community Church and attended the River of Life Fellowship. He fought a courageous battle with ALS.

He is survived by his wife Elaine Miller, sister Diane Zimmerman and children: Casey (Dorothy) Day and Nikki Gramm, step-siblings: Chris (Denise) Lawton and Shelly Borg and children, Kris Crow, Shawn (Nancy) Borg, Marc Borg and Alizabeth Borg, in-laws: Dan (Becky) Swartzendurber and children Beth Swartzendurber, Amy (Nathan) Garard and David Swartzendurber, Carol (John) Yost and children: Janette (Jeff) Larison and Grant (Ashlee) Yost and Sue Swartzendurber. He was preceded in death by his parents: Charles J. and Frances M. Miller, stepmother Barbara Lawton Miller, step-sister Theresa Lawton, in-laws: Emery and Josephine Swartzendurber, nephews: Matthew Yost and Chance Nichols.
