Tammy Schlegel

September 1, 1958 - August 27, 2009

Tammy Schlegel, age 50, of La Junta, passed into eternity on August 27, 2009 at the family's home. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 31, 2009 at Valley Community Church with Pastor Kurt England of Valley Community Church officiating. Memorials can be sent to First National Bank Scholarship Fund that will be used to help support an area student pursuing a degree in ministry. Tammy was born in Fruita, Colorado to Herb and Jean Mosher on September 1, 1958. She married Marvin Schlegel on May 30, 1987. Tammy was a stay at home mother to her two children, Morgan, age 20, and Garrett, age 19. Tammy is preceded in death by her mother Jean Mosher. She is survived by her husband Marvin, daughter Morgan, son Garrett, brothers Rocky (Sally) Mosher, Wayne (Dwaina) Mosher, Randy Mosher, and Chris (Denise) Mosher, as well as her father Herb Mosher and stepmother Pat Mosher. Tammy's greatest joy was leading youth and women's Bible studies. She was also a speaker for Christian Women's Club. She lived a life wrapped in the love of Jesus. She would have us remember one thing; know Jesus, live, walk, trust, and rest in Him. Her family cherishes the memories of her faithful love for all, which was rooted in Jesus' faithful love for her. Tammy knew that her life here on this Earth was temporary but her life in Heaven is eternal (II Corinthians 4:17-18).
