Bea Leal, 85, passed away on May 28, 2018 in Lakewood, Colorado.
The third of four daughters, she was born on Feb 8, 1933 to Cyrus ("Sox") and Frances (Hambleton) Walters.
She was born and raised in Sugar City until her marriage to Theodore (Ted) O. Leal in September 1952. They lived in Santa Ana, CA while Ted was stationed at the USMC Air Station, El Toro. When Ted was shipped overseas, Bea returned to Ted's parents' home in Sugar City.Â

but also worked for the Crowley County School District, the Health Department and the
Crowley County Nursing Center.
In 2001, Ted and Bea left Sugar City and moved to Colorado City to be closer to family.Â
When Ted passed away in June 2011, Bea moved to Lakewood, where she lived with her
daughter until dementia forced the family to move Bea to a memory facility.
Bea was preceded in death by her husband, an infant daughter, two infant grandsons, her parents and her younger sister.
