Inurnment services for Tom Kauro Momoi, 88, of Swink, will be held on Saturday May 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Valley View Cemetery in Rocky Ford. Mr. Momoi died April 8, 2016 at the Crowley County Nursing Center in Ordway. He was born Nov. 28, 1927 to Minosuke and Shimo Katahara Momoi in Swink, where he lived his entire life. Mr. Momoi worked as an automotive parts manager for many years. He enjoyed many hobbies, including working on cars, taking daily walks, visiting with other Swink residents and making things with his hands. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Shig in 2005; and a sister: Mary in 1982. Survivors include his nephew Sam (Christi) Hisamoto of Rocky Ford; great-nephew Arron Hisamoto of Denver; niece Barb (David) Furusho of Ft. Lupton; great-nieces Jennifer (Scott) Kunugi of Denver, Sandra (Gregory) Broderick of Denver and Carrie Furusho of Denver. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home.
