Toshiko Wyeno

Mrs. Toshiko Wyeno, 86, of Olney Springs, died Thursday, May 24th, 2012 surrounded by her family at Crowley County Nursing Center. Toshiko was born in Pueblo, CO on March 26, 1926, the daughter of the late Jinkichi and Sueno (Nakazaku) Fujimoto. She attended schools in the Crowley area and graduated from Crowley High School. Toshiko was the wife of Joe Wyeno, they were married on December 20, 1949 in Rocky Ford, CO. and he survives. She was a Homemaker and had also worked at the grocery store and at the Ordway Pharmacy for a number of years. They were avid bowlers and she served as the Secretary of the Women's Bowling League, where she also attended several state and national tournaments. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Crowley County, CO. She is survived by her husband; Joe of the home; Son Gary Lee husband of Jane Wyeno of Hastings, NE; Son Larry Wyeno of Boulder, CO; Brother Yutaka husband of Pat Fujimoto of Castro Valley, CA; Sister Betty wife of Tom Ohara of Torrence, CA; Sister Fumi wife of Nobe Ishida of Cerritos, CA; Sister Masako Ishida of Modesto, CO; She is also survived by 5 Grandchildren & 16 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Gerald; 2 brothers: Sakaye & Kiyo Fujimoto; sister: Chitose Nakazawa Funeral Services will be at the First Christian Church, 9th & Maple, Rocky Ford, CO, at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, May 30th, with Pastor John Dell officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM with family present from 5-6 PM Tuesday at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Rocky Ford, CO.
