William "Bill" E. Daniels

December 27, 1926 - January 27, 2011

Mr. William E. (Bill) Daniels, 84, of Ordway died on Thursday, January 27th, 2011 while in the company of family members at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center, La Junta, CO.

Bill was born in Rocky Ford, CO on December 27, 1926, the son of the late Roscoe Richard and Jewel Marie (Pruitt) Daniels.

He graduated from Weaubleau High School in Weaubleau, MO.

He was the husband of Donna L. (Jackson) Daniels. They were married on August 6, 1967 in Pueblo, CO. She survives.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He was employed by the La Junta Gas Company. He then sold cars for many years for Williams Chevrolet and Jones Motors. He also ranched for 4 years in Branson, CO before returning to Crowley County where he ranched for Paul McDonell. For the past 10 years he drove a school bus for Crowley County School District.

He was a member of Crowley Community Baptist Church in Ordway, CO.

Daughter Pam wife of Jerry McGahan of Canon City, CO; Grandson Scott McGahan of Eugene, OR; Granddaughter Shana wife of Rick Schroeder of Colorado Springs, CO; Grandson Josh husband of Misty Daniels of Pueblo, CO; Great-Grandson Cody Casey of Colorado Springs, CO; Great-Granddaughter Alexis Daniels of Rocky Ford, CO; Great-grandson Caleb Daniels of Pueblo, CO; Mother-in-Law Opal Jackson of Ordway, CO; Brother-in-law Richard husband of Janis Jackson of Pueblo, CO; Sister-in-law Paulette White wife of Tom Thinnes of Cincinatti, OH. He is also survived by Numerous Nieces, Nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 infant sisters; son: Steven Daniels

Memorial Service will be at 2:00 PM Friday, February 4, 2011 in the Ordway Baptist Church, Ordway, CO, with Pastor Don Parker officiating. There will be no viewing as cremation has been effected. Inurnment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Ordway, CO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crowley County Nursing Center; 401 Idaho, Ordway, CO 81063.
