Obituary

William Lee "Bill" Galbraith, 88, of Olney Springs, CO, passed away Tuesday, November 3rd, at Parkview Medical Center, Pueblo.

Bill was born in Olney Springs, CO on October 3, 1932, a son of the late Norma (Johnson) and Cecil Galbraith.

He was the widower of Twila (Tomlin) Galbraith.

Bill was a member of Olney Springs Methodist Church in Olney Springs, CO.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

He worked at the Pueblo Army Depot for 24 years, retiring in 1977.

Bill and Twila loved ballroom dancing, square dancing and rattlesnake hunting. Bill loved the farm and the town of Olney Springs with all of his heart. He gave so much to that town, supporting the church, senior center and fire department and he mapped all the graves at the cemetery and helped improve and maintain it. He was a secret cat lover and fed numerous stray cats that were lucky enough to come by the farm. He also loved his dog Gypsy, a stray who showed up at the farm. He was a wonderful caregiver and took care of my mother so well that, I believe, he gave her several extra years on this earth.

He is survived by: Son Ron, husband of Debbie Galbraith, of Estero, FL. Step-son Floyd (Melanie) Parks; Step-Daughter Terri (Bill) Roskey; Step-Daughter Jean Parks; Step-Daughter Nancy (Buck Griffeth) Parks; Step-Daughter Sierra (Bill) Gerrett; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren

Graveside Services were held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 6th at Olney Springs Cemetery in Olney Springs, CO with Rev. Janeen Hill officiating. Interment took place in the Olney Springs Cemetery, Olney Springs, CO. Military honors were provided by the Rocky Ford American Legion Post #8.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford - Ustick Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to www.fordustick.com.
