William "Bill" Skuderna

November 1, 1919 - May 3, 2015

William Anthony (Bill) Skuderna, 95, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Sunday, May 3rd, peacefully, at Pioneer Health Care Center. William was born in Rocky Ford, CO on November 1, 1919, a son of the late Kathrine (Gobin) and Anthony Skuderna. Bill graduated from Rocky Ford High School and CSU. He was the widower of Mary Helen (Van Delinder) Skuderna, they were married on Dec. 19, 1947 at Belgrade, MT. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He worked as a Counselor at Colorado Work Force La Junta, CO for 30 years. He was a member of Community Presbyterian Church Rocky Ford, CO. He was a long time member of the ELKS Post 1147 and the VFW. He is survived by; Daughter Ruth, wife of Darrell Lewis, of Arvada, CO; Daughter Susan, wife of Jim Sullivan, of La Junta, CO; Granddaughter Stephanie, wife of Bryan Fritz, of Arvada, CO; Grandson Tim, husband of Amanda Sullivan, of Minneapolis, MN; Grandson Jeff Smith, of Arvada, CO; Granddaughter Kelli, wife of Danny Marx, of Grand Junction, CO; Grandson Greg Wakefield, of Denver, CO; Grandson Eric Wakefield, of Denver, CO; Granddaughter Mary, wife of Brent, of Denver, CO; Granddaughter Beth Wakefield, of Denver, CO; Granddaughter Megan Wakefield, of Los Angeles, CA; Granddaughter Kimberly Wakefield, of Denver, CO; Brother John, husband of Louise Skuderna, of Denver, CO; He is also survived by 12 Great-Grandchildren; Bill was preceded in death by a daughter: Marilyn Wakefield; son: Donald Skuderna; sister: Barbara Skuderna. Memorial Services will be at the Community Presbyterian Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 29th, with Rev. Steve Culver officiating. There will be no viewing as cremation has been effected. Inurnment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery Rocky Ford, CO.
