Mrs. Wilma Lee Swedhin, 78, of Pueblo died on Thursday, May 3rd, 2012 at Joni Fair Hospice House in Pueblo, CO. Wilma was born in Fowler, CO on August 15, 1933, the daughter of the late Earl Lowell and Ruby (Harris) Stubbs. She graduated from Fowler High School in 1951. She was the wife of V.O. "Swede" Swedhin. They were married on May 3, 1953 in Fowler, CO. They celebrated 59 years of marriage. Wilma helped "Swede" as a bookkeeper at Swede's Service in Rocky Ford, CO. She was a member of Faith Assembly in Rocky Ford, CO. She was a member of Gideon's Auxiliary, Daughter of the American Revolution, and an active member of the women's organizations within the church. She is survived by her husband: "Swede" of the home; Son Darrell husband of Linda Swedhin of Longmont, CO; Daughter Darla wife of Paul Mason of Pueblo, CO; Son Steve husband of Angie Swedhin of Cheraw, CO; Brother Edwin husband of Ina Stubbs of Lebanon, MO; Brother Gary husband of Jane Stubbs of Shawnee Mission, KS. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Kara (Jason) Wojcik of Weston, FL, Sarah (Ryan) Johnston of Sasche, TX, Christopher Swedhin of Longmont, CO, Alisha Mason of Pueblo, CO, Tyler Mason of Pueblo, CO, Bethany Swedhin of Cheraw, CO, Hunter Swedhin of Cheraw, CO; 2 Great-Grandchildren: Noah Wojcik of Weston, FL and Kristjana Johnston of Sasche, TX. She was preceded in death by a sister: Leona (Stubbs) Stafford. Funeral Services will be at the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home, Rocky Ford, CO, at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 9th, with Pastor Jim Urie officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 8:30 AM until service time at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery Rocky Ford, CO. Memorials may be made to Sangre De Cristo Hospice 1207 Pueblo Blvd. Way Pueblo, CO 81005. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home.
