Young Glen Brown, 52, of Pueblo, CO, passed away Sunday, March 1st, suddenly, at his residence. Young was born in Tuscon, AZ on April 28, 1962, a son of the late Barbara Beatrice (Tortorice) and Olen Glen Brown. He attended school in Boone and graduated from Rocky Ford High School in 1980. He attended college in Lamar. He was the husband of Denise (Giodone) Brown. On May of 1996, they were married at Las Vegas, NV. They enjoyed traveling together and going on cruise ships. He was a very skilled Welder. Young worked in Pueblo, Greeley & Trinidad. He also spent time working back east in West Virginia and in North Dakota and Utah. He enjoyed team roping, training his horses and his 3 special dogs, Shakes, Stubb & Kelly. Young and Denise were enjoying their new home and property east of Pueblo, CO. Young was a member of the Pueblo Pipefitters Union and the Fowler Roping Club. He is survived by his wife, Denise of the home; Sister Arlene, wife of Kenneth Schweizer, of Rocky Ford, CO; Parents -in- law Tom & Anna Marie Giodone, of Pueblo, CO; Brother-in-law Tommy Giodone, of Pueblo, CO; Step-Father Dennis Courtney, of Rocky Ford, CO; Uncle Larry, husband of Christine Tortorice, of Trinidad, CO; Niece Michelle, wife of Matt Gardner, of Swink, CO; Nephew Chris, husband of Ellen Schweizer, of Rocky Ford, CO; Nephew Andy Schweizer, of Swink, CO; Aunt Norma Lee Conover, of Rocky Ford, CO. 2 great nieces: Jennifer Gardner and Sarah Maulin; 2 great nephews: Jake Gardner & Trent Schweizer, numerous cousins. Memorial Services will be at the First United Methodist Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 25th, with Pastor Marty Lee officiating. There will be no viewing as cremation has been effected. Family request donations to Young Brown Memorial/Scholarship Fund; c/o First National Bank; P.O. Box 1030, La Junta, CO 81050. The Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating High School Senior in 2016. There will be a Memorial Team Roping competition on May 9, 2015 at the Chico Roping Arena in Pueblo, CO.
